What it is:

Clinical depression is a mood disorder in which feeling of sadness, loss, anger, or frustration interfere with everyday life for an extended period of time.

Symptoms of depression may include:

Chronic fatigue, sleep disturbances, digestive disturbances, appetite changes, muscle and back pain, headaches, restlessness, irritability, being quick to anger, and feelings of unworthiness or inadequacy.

How to treat:

Thorough evaluation of the following is recommended, but not limited to:
Metabolic disturbances, heavy metal toxicity, dental disturbances, improper nutrition, lack of exercise, brain chemical imbalances, thyroid disorders, viral infections, candida, hypoglycemia and allergies.


What it is:

Stressful life situations can contribute to a common condition, known as generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).

Symptoms of acute anxiety can include:

Shortness of breath, heart palpitations, dizziness, hot flashes or chills, sweating, nausea, a feeling of unreality, impending sense of disaster/doom

A constant state of alertness in the body can lead to symptoms of chronic anxiety:
headaches, chronic aches and pains, depression, nightmares, insomnia, muscle twitches, decreased libido, overall inability to relax, startle easily, constant state of unease

How to treat:

A thorough health history and targeted evaluation of the endocrine system (hormones), nervous system (toxicity), and immune system (food allergies/sensitivities) are all possible courses of action.
